You The Audience (Royal Exchange Theatre)
Royal Exchange Theatre (October 2014 – April 2016)
YOU, THE AUDIENCE was a giant conversation with everyone who has ever been part of a theatre audience – participants, spectators, supporters and collaborators. Over 12 months, the Royal Exchange Theatre worked with over 750 people to find out what theatre is for in the 21st century, why it matters and what it should be. I co-curated and produced the programme and all accompanying events (including a picnic feast, storytelling, a sleepover on stage, a gift exchange and lots of conversations), and the project culminated in a large scale installation in the Studio at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Spring 2016.
